Hetherington Furnace

Process Overview

The Hetherington bell-style furnace features a bottom-loading, electro-polished chamber designed for operation \ in high vacuum environments (up to 10⁻⁶ torr) or under partial pressure gas atmospheres such as argon, nitrogen, and wet or dry hydrogen. These furnaces can be equipped with stainless steel, molybdenum, or tungsten hot zones, making them ideal for applications that require minimal particulate contamination, such as in medical or semiconductor manufacturing. Graphite hot zones can also be incorporated to accommodate additional high-temperature processing needs. These systems are known for their precision, cleanliness, and long-term performance in critical environments.
